Venturing Hills Farm offers four main boarding services; Regular Indoor Board, Training Board, Sales Board, and year round Outside Board.
Our service includes 24/7 on-site care with an amazing team of staff and coaches, supported by expert vets and farriers on regular call. We provide specialized care to each horse whom range in age from babies, to top level performance horses, all the way through to 30+ retirees.
At VHF it is our goal to provide the same level of love, care, and specialized support to our boarders horses, as if they were our own.

Venturing Hills offers Indoor boarding to 24 horses/ponies year round. With a variety of stall sizes, and locations throughout the barn we place horses according to their happiness and best interest.
With indoor board we provide the full daily care and maintenance of the horse. This involves blanketing, mucking/stall prep, daily turnout, vet/farrier visits, feed/supplements, and much more. It also gives the boarder full access to our facilities, a guaranteed Cubby, and opportunity for lessons with one of our qualified coaches.

Venturing Hills accommodates a limited number of horses and ponies boarding outside. We often have a waiting list for horses, so please contact well in advance! We keep a reduced number of horses and ponies living together to ensure as safe an environment as possible for the horses under our care, and request no hind shoes.
We generally do not mix mares with geldings but keep our outside communities gender homogeneous. Compatibility with pasture mates is a critical component in order to ensure that each animal thrives in the sharing of space, hay, water, pasture and shelter.
All three paddock options for outside board are dirt paddocks and include: a fresh source of water, salt/mineral blocks, excellent quality hay in a feeder, and shelters.
With Outdoor board we provide the daily care and maintenance of the horse. This involves blanketing, mucking the run in shed, vet/farrier visits, and much more. It also gives the boarder full access to our facilities, a guaranteed Cubby, and opportunity for lessons with one of our qualified coaches.

Venturing Hills accommodates a limited number of horses and ponies on training board.
This service is suggested for a variety of reasons, the most important being to train or retrain a horse to be a safer, and more manageable animal for the owner/rider. It can also be used as a 'tune up' in preparation for sale/lease, or in competition season for riders needing extra care and guided hours in the tack.
Secondary consideration but of serious importance is fitness and adequate exercise conducive for a quiet and satisfied animal. This is especially encouraged in cases when the owner is not available often, or during longer absences of the owner/rider for animal well being, and overall joint health.
Training board includes all the amenities of indoor/outdoor board as well as 5 training rides/lessons a week. We suggest indoor board for training to reduce chance of injury, however we offer it on outdoor board as well.
Examples:
Option A: 20 'schooling' sessions/mo (lunging, riding, groundwork, – 5x/wk) Option B: 15 'schooling' sessions plus 5 lessons/mo Option C: Any combination of rides and lessons, up to 20 total per month

Venturing Hills accommodates a limited number of horses and ponies on sales board.
This service is suggested for owners looking for help in the sales promotion/training of their horse/pony. In preparation for sale or lease we take extra care and pay attention to details like ground manners, clipped bridle paths, nice manes, shiny coats and tails, etc.
At VHF we make sure to give the horses a well rounded education, and take pride in being honest with our sales ads. We like to work with our clients through the sales process to value the horses fairly, and make it an enjoyable experience for all involved.
Sales board includes all the amenities of indoor/outdoor board (we encourage indoor board for sales to reduce chance of injury) as well as 5 training rides a week, sales promotion, advertising, and acting as an agent on behalf of the seller.
